It’s weird being home. Now what I expected, but I knew as much and tried not to expect anything. I went down to Utah for an old roommate’s wedding, Robby Marsh. That’s us in the picture. It was a blast to see everyone again. I asked myself a few times why did I ever leave? I hurried home the day after the wedding and made it back by Fathers’ Day. So the job hunt has started and has been about as slow as I thought it would be. I did meet with UW’s Arabic Department Head. It was fun to speak Arabic and maybe it will pan out into a job. It has been nice spending time with family and taking it easy. I laugh at myself when I see someone in a Mariners shirt or some article of clothing that identifies them as someone from Washington. I want to go up and say, ‘hey! I’m from Washington too!’ but I’ve caught myself every time since. It’s similar to when I first moved to Utah and saw someone with a CTR ring and wanted to say, ‘I’m Mormon too!’ I’m enjoying the change in weather, it’s fabulous here. That’s it for now.
